Student Volunteers (SVs) are an essential part of HCOMP/CI 2026. They help ensure the conference runs smoothly by supporting registration, session management, technical support, speaker coordination, and other on-site activities. In return, SVs have the opportunity to engage with the conference community, network with researchers and practitioners, and gain behind-the-scenes conference experience.
We invite applications from undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. students from all backgrounds and disciplines. No prior Student Volunteer experience is required; we are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and collaborative volunteers.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled as an undergraduate, master's, or Ph.D. student during the 2026–2027 academic year.
- Be able to attend the conference in person for its full duration.
- Commit to completing assigned volunteer duties and attending any required orientation sessions.
What Will I Do as a Student Volunteer?
All Student Volunteers agree to:
- Commit to approximately 20 hours of volunteer duties during September 27–30, 2026.
- Attend the mandatory Student Volunteer orientation.
- Arrive on time for assigned shifts and complete all assigned responsibilities.
- Be a welcoming and professional representative of HCOMP/CI 2026 throughout the conference.
- Arrange and cover their own travel, accommodation, and meals not provided by the conference.
