🚨 Call for Student Volunteers
Join us as a Student Volunteer (SV) at Collective Intelligence 2025! This is a unique opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the conference while engaging with interdisciplinary researchers across fields of cognitive science, philosophy, ecology, biology, computer science, anthropology, and beyond. SVs are essential to the success of the conference.

- Acceptance Notification: June 10th, 2025
What will volunteers do at the conference?
As an SV, you are required to:
- Work around 16 hours before, during, or after the conference.
- Be present in La Jolla, CA between August 3rd and 6th.
- Attend an orientation session before the conference(details to be announced)
- Show up on time for assigned work shifts.
- Be responsible for assigned tasks and timely communication.
The tasks assigned to SV include managing the registration desk, guiding the attendees to different locations, helping set up the demo sessions, assisting speakers during presentations, and other activities.
What are the benefits?
The benefits for SVs include:
- Free conference registration ($300 value) which includes food and drink throughout the event
- A free CI-25 conference t-shirt
- Invitation to a dinner for the Organizing Committee
- Opportunities to network with international researchers and leaders in collective intelligence.
How to apply?
To join the team as a volunteer, you must be enrolled as a PhD, Masters, or undergraduate student in the 2024-2025 or the 2025-2026 academic year. Students of all backgrounds, regardless of discipline, and from all geographic locations are encouraged to apply. No previous SV experience is required, but we are looking for reliable and enthusiastic people.
Please fill out the application form by June 5th to be considered. We will notify individuals of their status (accepted or waitlisted) on or before June 10th.
